What is The Card Convention?
The Card Convention is The Card Inn's very first event that is hosted for Magicians, Cardists & Card Collectors.
We hosted this event on October 19th 2024 and wow! What a day it was.
We really enjoyed getting to meet you all, and it seems as though you all had fun.
On this day we had:
- A Quiz
- Guest speaker sessions from Brendan Patricks (Magician)
- Guest speaker sessions from Alex Haines (Designer)
- A Cardistry Tutorial
- Cardistry move showcase where cardists displayed moves and taught them to attendees
- Guest speaker session from Alex Pandrea
- 4 x seller tables from The Card Inn, Good Pals, Paperdecks & Alex Haines Playing Cards
Guest Speakers at TCC 2024:
- Brendan Patricks - Brendan spoke about his career as a Magician and provided brilliant advice and anecdotes
- Alex Haines - Alex is the designer of Imported, Gosprey & Oshawk, plus the Albatross Playing Cards. Alex gave us an insight into designing + producing playing cards.
- Missing New York - Missing provided an online tutorial teaching a cardistry move by Leo Flores.
- Alex Pandrea - Alex is a legend of the playing card industry. Alex provided a lecture on how to produce playing cards which included some brilliant advice.
It was really rewarding to see how much people enjoyed the day. Not just the days events, but just the opportunity to meet new people and bond over a shared hobby.
Because of this, we are 100% doing this again in 2025.
We have already begun preparation for next year's event, and we are even planning a SECRET release especially for the convention...
