On a November evening in 1966, two couples driving near Point Pleasant, West Virginia, reported seeing a large winged creature with glowing red eyes pursuing their car at over 100 miles per hour. Over the following thirteen months, more than a hundred sightings were reported. Then, on December 15th 1967, the Silver Bridge collapsed into the Ohio River. Mothman was never seen again.

The most infamous cryptid in American folklore now takes flight in the form of a premium deck of hand-drawn vintage playing cards - the perfect companion to the Black Shuck deck, and the second half of the A. Haines Cryptids collection.

Boasting an inverted red and black colour scheme that perfectly complements its Shuck counterpart, the Mothman tuckbox is printed inside and out on soft matte card stock. Classic woodblock print style artwork with a fun, modern twist - instantly recognisable as part of the Cryptids set while standing brilliantly on its own. A unique custom stamp sticker seal completes the presentation.

The backs share their intricate hand-drawn pattern with the Black Shuck deck - but rendered in a deep, rich shade of red and featuring unique Mothman-themed additions. The same modern details that make the backs spectacular in a fan or spread: spades at 3 and 9 o'clock, cut triangles at 12 and 6.

Identical to the Black Shuck deck - the same unique hand-drawn court cards derived from ancient British one-way faces, redrawn into perfectly symmetrical two-way designs with bold vintage colour and chunky antique pips. The two decks are designed to be used together as a matching set, with subtle differences where it matters most.

The Ace of Spades features a timeless Mothman motif, those unmistakable glowing red eyes staring back at you from the centre of the card.
